Job Description

This position will work with the PAP team to provide trainings, materials, resources and support to the national Patient Advocacy Program. The ideal candidate is high energy, thrives in a fast-paced work environment, learns quickly, can think on their feet and work with a wide variety of people from different backgrounds. Provide planning and tactical support for affiliate and state staff implementing patient advocacy programs and national organizing campaigns. Provide customer service to affiliate partners and patient advocates for all storyteller needs. Conduct follow up one-on-one meetings with interested storytellers from national tactics to learn their interest in further engagement and volunteering. Liaise the with Virtual Volunteer Program on abortion stigma work and storyteller leadership development. Leads the National Storytellers of Planned Parenthood, a leadership development program.

Job Qualifications
  • 2 to 3 years experience in issue-advocacy, health equity, community organizing or grassroots engagement.

  • Ability to create and implement tracking systems is a must.

  • Experience working at a Planned Parenthood affiliate is a major plus.

  • Experience working in diverse communities with extensive knowledge of diversity and inclusion, and sensitivity/appreciation to cultural differences
