  1. Lead and manage a team of litigation attorneys and legal support staff.
  2. Oversee all aspects of Planned Parenthood's litigation portfolio, including case selection, strategy, and resolution.
  3. Develop and implement litigation strategies that align with the organization's mission and goals.
  4. Stay up-to-date on relevant laws and regulations related to reproductive healthcare and rights.
  5. Build relationships with external partners and stakeholders, including other organizations, government agencies, and legal professionals.
  6. Provide guidance and support to regional and affiliate offices on litigation matters.
  7. Monitor and assess potential legal risks and proactively take steps to mitigate them.
  8. Ensure compliance with ethical and professional standards in all legal proceedings.
  9. Collaborate with other departments, such as public policy and communications, to develop coordinated strategies.
  10. Prepare and present reports and updates on litigation activities to senior management and the Board of Directors.
  11. Manage the department's budget and resources effectively.
  12. Mentor and develop team members, providing guidance and support for their professional growth.
  13. Represent Planned Parenthood in legal proceedings and advocacy efforts as needed.
  14. Uphold and promote Planned Parenthood's values, including a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  15. Adhere to all relevant laws and regulations, as well as ethical and professional standards.

Job Qualifications
  • Juris Doctor (Jd) Degree From An Accredited Law School.

  • Minimum Of 7-10 Years Of Experience In Litigation, Preferably In The Healthcare Or Nonprofit Sector.

  • Admission To The State Bar In Which The Position Is Located.

  • Strong Leadership And Management Skills, With A Proven Track Record Of Effectively Supervising And Mentoring A Team Of Attorneys.

  • In-Depth Knowledge Of Reproductive Rights And Healthcare Laws, With A Commitment To Supporting And Advancing Planned Parenthood's Mission And Values.
