If so, then Planned Parenthood has an exciting opportunity for you as our Managing Senior Counsel - Issues of National Importance. In this role, you will lead a team of attorneys to address critical legal issues related to reproductive rights on a national scale. As a vital member of our legal team, you will play a crucial role in protecting and advancing reproductive health care access for millions of individuals. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual with a deep understanding of the complexities of reproductive rights and a proven track record in managing complex legal matters.   1. Lead a team of attorneys: Manage and oversee a team of attorneys, including hiring, training, and providing ongoing support and guidance.
  2. Address critical legal issues: Identify and prioritize key legal issues related to reproductive rights on a national scale and develop strategic plans to address them.
  3. Protect and advance reproductive health care access: Develop and implement legal strategies to defend and expand access to reproductive health care for individuals across the country.
  4. Advocate for reproductive rights and social justice: Serve as a passionate advocate for reproductive rights and social justice, both within the organization and in external advocacy efforts.
  5. Manage complex legal matters: Utilize your strong legal background and experience to effectively manage complex legal matters and provide guidance to the team.
  6. Stay up-to-date on relevant laws and policies: Continuously monitor and stay informed about changes to laws and policies related to reproductive rights and ensure the team is informed and prepared to address them.
  7. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders: Work closely with other departments within the organization, as well as external partners and stakeholders, to develop and implement effective legal strategies.
  8. Provide legal expertise and guidance: Serve as a key resource for the organization and provide legal expertise and guidance on matters related to reproductive rights.
  9. Ensure compliance with legal requirements: Ensure that all legal actions and strategies are in compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  10. Represent the organization in legal proceedings: Represent the organization in legal proceedings, including court appearances and negotiations.
  11. Manage budgets and resources: Manage budgets and allocate resources effectively to support the team in achieving their goals.
  12. Uphold the organization's values: Embody and uphold the organization's values of inclusivity, equity, and justice in all aspects of the role.

Job Qualifications
  • Juris Doctor (Jd) Degree From An Accredited Law School.

  • Minimum Of 10 Years Experience Practicing Law, With A Focus On Issues Of National Importance.

  • Demonstrated Expertise In Reproductive Rights And/Or Healthcare Law.

  • Excellent Written And Verbal Communication Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Advocate For Planned Parenthood's Mission And Values.

  • Strong Leadership And Management Skills, With Experience Leading A Team Of Attorneys And Overseeing Complex Legal Matters.
