Job Description

Create contracts for all new life income gifts and final gift calculations. Prepares documentation for income tax charitable deductions and additional enclosures. Uses a variety of software tools and ensures accuracy of Planned Giving Manager, GiftWrap, and Salesforce. In conjunction with State Street, maintains participant and payment information, working directly with donors and their family members when changes are needed or issues arise. Handles the closure of annuity, trust, and pooled income fund accounts as gifts are severed or mature. Ensures the timely distribution of proceeds to affiliates. Builds knowledge in gift planning and gift administration through self-study and formal training—including a focus on taxation, changes in the law, and the updating of software tools.

Job Qualifications
  • Demonstrated interest in working in development and fundraising in the nonprofit sector.

  • Planned Giving experience required, preferably in the field of life income gifts.

  • Willingness to work as part of a team, share knowledge, and strategize together on unusual situations.

  • Ability to learn the legal and tax aspects of charitable giving
