- Lead the design team in creating and executing high-quality, visually appealing and impactful designs that align with the organization's mission and brand guidelines.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project needs and objectives, and develop design solutions that effectively communicate the desired message.
- Oversee the design process from concept to completion, ensuring all deliverables are of the highest quality and delivered on time.
- Mentor and guide junior designers, providing feedback and support to help them develop their skills and grow within the organization.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements to constantly improve design processes and techniques, and bring fresh ideas to the team.
- Manage and maintain design assets, including style guides, templates, and brand visuals, to ensure consistency across all materials.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders to understand their design needs and provide them with creative solutions.
- Conduct design reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure all designs meet the organization's standards and objectives.
- Collaborate with external vendors and agencies to ensure the timely and effective delivery of design projects and materials.
- Uphold the organization's values and principles, and maintain confidentiality and sensitivity when working on sensitive projects.
Proven Experience In Graphic Design And Branding: An Associate Design Director At Planned Parenthood Should Have A Strong Portfolio Showcasing Their Expertise In Graphic Design And Brand Development. This Includes Experience In Creating Logos, Marketing Materials, And Other Visual Assets That Effectively Communicate The Organization's Mission And Values.
Knowledge Of Reproductive Health And Social Issues: Since Planned Parenthood Focuses On Reproductive Health And Advocacy For Women's Rights, An Ideal Candidate For This Role Should Have A Deep Understanding Of These Issues. This Will Enable Them To Create Designs That Are Relevant, Impactful, And In Line With The Organization's Values.
Leadership And Management Skills: As An Associate Design Director, This Role Will Require Managing And Leading A Team Of Designers. Therefore, Candidates Should Possess Strong Leadership And Management Skills, Including The Ability To Delegate Tasks, Provide Constructive Feedback, And Motivate Team Members To Achieve Their Best Work.
