As a Human Resources Generalist at Pitzer College, you will play a vital role in supporting our faculty, staff, and students by providing strategic and operational HR services.   1. Develop and implement HR policies and procedures in compliance with federal and state laws and regulations.
  2. Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on various HR matters, including recruitment, performance management, employee relations, and benefits.
  3. Conduct new employee orientations and ensure all necessary paperwork is completed accurately and in a timely manner.
  4. Manage the recruitment process, including job postings, resume reviews, interviews, and offer letters.
  5. Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and ensure confidentiality of all HR-related information.
  6. Collaborate with other departments to facilitate a positive and inclusive work environment.
  7. Conduct investigations and resolve employee relations issues in a timely and effective manner.
  8. Administer and maintain employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave policies.
  9. Stay current on industry trends and best practices in HR and make recommendations for improvement.
  10. Participate in diversity and inclusion initiatives and promote a culture of equity and belonging within the organization.
  11. Prepare and analyze HR metrics and reports to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  12. Keep abreast of changes in employment laws and regulations and ensure compliance at all times.
  13. Conduct training sessions for managers and employees on various HR topics.
  14. Manage HR projects as assigned by the HR Director.
  15. Foster positive relationships with staff, faculty, and students to promote a positive and inclusive work environment.
  16. Collaborate with colleagues to continuously improve and streamline HR processes and procedures.
  17. Participate in the development and implementation of the college's strategic plan as it relates to HR.
  18. Maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality in all HR-related matters.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Human Resources, Business Administration, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Human Resources, With A Focus On Recruitment, Employee Relations, And Performance Management.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Employment Laws And Regulations, And Ability To Ensure Compliance With All Relevant Policies.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Collaborate With A Diverse Group Of Employees.

  • Experience With Hris And Other Hr Software Systems, As Well As Proficiency In Microsoft Office And Other Relevant Computer Programs.
