Assistant Director for Career Development & Student Engagement

1. Develop and implement career development programs and initiatives that align with the goals and values of Pitzer College.
2. Provide individual career counseling and coaching to students, helping them explore career options, develop career plans, and prepare for job opportunities.
3. Collaborate with faculty and staff to integrate career development into the academic curriculum and promote career readiness among students.
4. Plan and execute career-related events, workshops, and networking opportunities to connect students with employers and alumni.
5. Develop and maintain relationships with employers, alumni, and other external partners to create internship and job opportunities for students.
6. Stay current on industry trends and job market demands to inform career advising and programming.
7. Manage career resources and tools, including online job boards and career assessment tools, to support students in their career exploration and job search.
8. Supervise and train student workers and peer advisors to assist with career development initiatives.
9. Collect and analyze data to assess the effectiveness of career development programs and make recommendations for improvement.
10. Collaborate with other departments on campus to promote student engagement and create opportunities for students to develop leadership skills and engage in co-curricular activities.
11. Serve as a liaison to academic departments to ensure career development opportunities are integrated into academic programs.
12. Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills in career development and student engagement.
13. Represent Pitzer College at career fairs, conferences, and other events to promote the college and build relationships with external partners.
14. Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions with students, employers, and other stakeholders.
15. Contribute to the overall mission and goals of Pitzer College and the Career Services department.
