Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Medical Safety Manager to join our team at Philips Enterprise Informatics. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety of our medical software and informatics solutions, as well as driving compliance with regulatory requirements. As a member of our dynamic and innovative team, you will play a critical role in delivering safe and effective products to our customers. We are looking for a candidate with a strong background in medical device safety, along with excellent communication and leadership skills.   1. Develop and implement safety protocols and procedures for medical software and informatics solutions in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  2. Conduct risk assessments and identify potential safety hazards to ensure the safe use of our products.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive product safety and compliance throughout the development and manufacturing process.
  4. Monitor and analyze safety data and trends to identify areas for improvement and develop action plans to mitigate risks.
  5. Serve as a subject matter expert on medical device safety regulations and standards, and provide guidance to the team to ensure compliance.
  6. Lead safety training and education initiatives for employees to increase awareness and understanding of safety protocols.
  7. Keep updated on industry standards and regulations related to medical device safety and informatics, and make recommendations for process improvements.
  8. Communicate safety updates and progress to executive management and other stakeholders.
  9. Investigate and resolve safety-related complaints and incidents, and provide timely and accurate reporting to appropriate regulatory agencies.
  10. Foster a culture of safety within the organization and promote a patient-centric approach to product development and management.
  11. Mentor and guide team members to ensure a high level of safety expertise within the organization.
  12. Participate in audits and inspections to demonstrate compliance with safety regulations and standards.
  13. Collaborate with external partners and vendors to ensure their products and services meet safety requirements.
  14. Represent the company at industry conferences and events to share knowledge and best practices in medical device safety.
  15. Continuously evaluate and improve safety processes and procedures to maintain the highest level of safety for our products and customers.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In A Relevant Field Such As Healthcare, Public Health, Or Biomedical Engineering.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In A Healthcare Organization Or Medical Device Company, With A Focus On Safety Management.

  • Knowledge Of Relevant Safety Regulations And Standards, Including But Not Limited To Iso 14971, Fda Qsr, And Eu Mdr.

  • Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills, With The Ability To Identify Potential Safety Hazards And Develop Effective Risk Mitigation Strategies.

  • Excellent Communication And Collaboration Skills, With The Ability To Work Effectively With Cross-Functional Teams And Communicate Complex Information To Both Technical And Non-Technical Stakeholders.
