  1. Develop and implement safety policies and procedures for medical software solutions within the Enterprise Informatics division.
  2. Maintain a thorough understanding of global medical device regulations and standards, and ensure compliance with all relevant requirements.
  3. Conduct risk assessments and manage risk mitigation strategies for medical software products.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and accurate reporting of adverse events to regulatory agencies.
  5. Monitor and analyze safety data to identify potential safety issues and develop appropriate actions.
  6. Serve as the primary point of contact for all safety-related inquiries or concerns from internal and external stakeholders.
  7. Train and educate team members on medical device regulations and safety best practices.
  8. Stay up-to-date on industry developments and changes in regulations to ensure continuous compliance.
  9. Communicate safety updates and recommendations to relevant departments and senior management.
  10. Foster a culture of safety and compliance within the Enterprise Informatics division.
  11. Lead investigations into safety incidents and implement corrective and preventive actions as needed.
  12. Collaborate with product development teams to ensure safety considerations are incorporated into the design and development of new medical software solutions.
  13. Develop and maintain relationships with regulatory agencies and participate in audits and inspections as needed.
  14. Manage and prioritize multiple projects and tasks effectively to meet deadlines.
  15. Act as a subject matter expert on medical device safety and provide guidance and support to other departments within the company as needed.

Job Qualifications
  • Strong Understanding Of Regulatory Requirements: A Medical Safety Manager At Philips Should Have A Deep Understanding Of The Regulatory Landscape In The Medical Device Industry, Including Fda Regulations, Iso Standards, And Other Relevant Guidelines.

  • Experience In Medical Device Safety: Candidates For This Role Should Have A Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Medical Device Safety, With A Track Record Of Successfully Managing Safety Programs And Implementing Risk Management Strategies.

  • Knowledge Of Enterprise Informatics Systems: Philips Is A Leader In Healthcare Informatics, And The Medical Safety Manager Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Enterprise Informatics Systems, Such As Electronic Medical Records, Clinical Decision Support Systems, And Data Analytics Platforms.

  • Excellent Communication And Leadership Skills: As The Manager Of The Medical Safety Team, This Role Requires Strong Communication And Leadership Skills To Effectively Collaborate With Cross-Functional Teams And Drive Safety Initiatives Across The Organization.

  • Advanced Degree In A Related Field: To Be Considered For This Role, Candidates Should Have A Relevant Advanced Degree In Fields Such As Biomedical Engineering, Healthcare Informatics, Or A Related Discipline. This Educational Background Demonstrates A Strong Foundation In Both Medical And Technical Knowledge Necessary For The Role.
