- Develop and implement regulatory strategies to ensure compliance with global regulations for medical devices.
- Lead a team of regulatory affairs professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient and effective execution of regulatory processes.
- Stay up-to-date with changes and updates in global regulations, and communicate these changes to relevant stakeholders within the company.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, Quality, and Marketing, to ensure timely and successful regulatory submissions.
- Review and approve product labeling, marketing materials, and other documents to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Act as the primary point of contact for regulatory authorities, representing the company in all interactions and negotiations.
- Conduct risk assessments and ensure risk management processes are in place for all medical devices.
- Monitor and track post-market surveillance data and provide updates to management and regulatory authorities as necessary.
- Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and identify areas for improvement.
- Provide training and mentorship to team members to develop their regulatory knowledge and skills.
- Participate in industry conferences and events to stay informed about the latest trends and developments in regulatory affairs.
- Uphold company values and promote a culture of compliance and ethical behavior within the regulatory affairs team.
- Collaborate with other departments to continuously improve processes and procedures related to regulatory affairs.
- Ensure timely and accurate submission of all regulatory documents and reports.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of company-wide policies and procedures related to regulatory affairs.
Advanced Degree In Regulatory Affairs Or Related Field: A Successful Head Of Regulatory Affairs At Philips Should Have A Strong Educational Background, Preferably With A Master's Degree Or Higher In Regulatory Affairs Or A Related Field Such As Pharmacy, Biomedical Sciences, Or Bioengineering.
Extensive Experience In The Medical Device Industry: A Candidate For This Role Should Have A Deep Understanding Of The Medical Device Industry, Including Regulations, Standards, And Best Practices. They Should Also Have A Proven Track Record Of Successfully Navigating Regulatory Processes And Obtaining Approvals For Medical Devices.
In-Depth Knowledge Of Global Regulatory Requirements: The Head Of Regulatory Affairs At Philips Will Be Responsible For Ensuring Compliance With Regulatory Requirements In Various Regions, Including The Us, Eu, And Asia. Therefore, They Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of These Regulations And Stay Up-To-Date On Any Changes Or Updates.
Strong Leadership And Communication Skills: This Role Requires Overseeing A Team Of Regulatory Professionals, As Well As Collaborating With Cross-Functional Teams Within The Organization. A Strong Leader With Excellent Communication Skills Is Essential For Effectively Managing And Guiding The Team Towards Achieving Regulatory Goals.
