  1. Develop and execute clinical studies to support the safety and efficacy of Philips' innovative medical devices.
  2. Conduct literature reviews and stay up-to-date on industry standards and regulations related to clinical research.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, marketing, and regulatory affairs to ensure alignment of clinical development plans.
  4. Analyze and interpret clinical study data to support product development decisions.
  5. Prepare and review study protocols, informed consent forms, and other study-related documents.
  6. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and ethical standards in all clinical studies.
  7. Communicate study progress, results, and potential issues to relevant stakeholders.
  8. Identify and address potential risks and challenges in study design and execution.
  9. Develop and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders and clinical investigators.
  10. Contribute to continuous improvement of clinical development processes and procedures.
  11. Train and mentor junior clinical development team members.
  12. Attend conferences and scientific meetings to stay informed on the latest developments in clinical research.
  13. Participate in the development of clinical evidence strategies to support product commercialization.
  14. Represent Philips in interactions with regulatory agencies and ethics committees.
  15. Adhere to company policies and procedures, including those related to safety, quality, and data integrity.

Job Qualifications
  • Advanced Degree In A Scientific Field: A Clinical Development Scientist At Philips Must Possess A Minimum Of A Master's Degree In A Relevant Scientific Field Such As Medicine, Biology, Or Pharmacology.

  • Experience In Clinical Research: Candidates Should Have At Least 3-5 Years Of Experience In Conducting Clinical Research, Preferably In The Medical Device Industry. This Includes Experience In Study Design, Protocol Development, Data Analysis, And Regulatory Compliance.

  • Knowledge Of Regulatory Requirements: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Global Regulatory Requirements For Medical Devices, Including Fda Regulations And Iso Standards. Experience With Clinical Trial Submissions And Interactions With Regulatory Agencies Is Highly Desirable.

  • Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills: Clinical Development Scientists Must Be Able To Analyze Complex Scientific Data And Make Sound Decisions Based On Their Findings. They Should Also Possess Strong Problem-Solving Skills To Troubleshoot Issues That May Arise During Clinical Studies.

  • Excellent Communication And Collaboration Skills: As A Key Member Of The Clinical Development Team, Effective Communication And Collaboration Are Essential For Success In This Role. The Candidate Should Be Able To Communicate Complex Scientific Concepts To Diverse Audiences And Work Effectively With Cross-Functional Teams.
