Intern - Supply Chain Department

We are seeking an enthusiastic Intern - Supply Chain Department at Philadelphia Gas Works to join our team and help us drive a positive customer experience. We are looking for someone who is passionate about making a difference in the operations of a dynamic organization.Required Qualifications:• Pursuing a degree or diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field• Excellent written and verbal communication skills• Ability to prioritize tasks, work independently, and take initiative• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other related software• Knowledge of supply chain processes and systems• Ability to troubleshoot problems and develop solutions• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adjust to changing priorities• Flexibility to work additional hours, as needed

Responsibilities: • Assist in the development and implementation of strategies and processes to ensure a successful supply chain operation • Monitor supply chain performance and identify opportunities for improvement • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of supplies • Create and maintain supply chain reports and documents • Analyze supply chain trends and develop recommendations to optimize the system • Assist in the development and implementation of supply chain policies and procedures • Manage and maintain inventory levels to ensure optimal stock levels • Monitor supplier performance and identify areas of improvement • Research and develop strategies for cost reduction and efficiency improvement • Assist in the development of supply chain strategies and plans • Assist in the development of supply chain training materials and programs • Facilitate communication between all stakeholders within the supply chain
