Operate and maintain waste water treatment systems according to established procedures and standards.
Monitor and analyze waste water samples to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that may arise with the waste water treatment process.
Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on equipment as needed.
Maintain accurate records and documentation of waste water treatment processes and results.
Implement and follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
Collaborate with other team members to identify and implement improvements in waste water treatment processes.
Stay updated on industry developments and regulations related to waste water management and suggest improvements to current practices.
Train and guide new team members on waste water treatment processes and procedures.
Communicate effectively with team members and management regarding any issues or concerns related to waste water treatment.
Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including those related to sustainability and environmental responsibility.
Continuously monitor and assess the effectiveness of waste water treatment processes and make recommendations for improvements.

Job Qualifications

High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Basic Educational Requirement For A Waste Water Operator Position At Perdue Farms Is A High School Diploma Or Equivalent. This Ensures That The Candidate Has A Basic Understanding Of Mathematics And Science, Which Are Important For Operating And Maintaining Waste Water Treatment Systems.
Relevant Certifications Or Licenses: Candidates Should Have Relevant Certifications Or Licenses Required For Operating And Maintaining Waste Water Treatment Systems. Examples Include A Class I Or Ii Wastewater Operator Certification Or A Water Treatment Operator License. These Certifications Demonstrate The Candidate's Knowledge And Expertise In Waste Water Treatment.
Experience In Waste Water Treatment: Candidates Should Have A Minimum Of 2-3 Years Of Experience Working In Waste Water Treatment. This Experience Can Be Gained Through Previous Employment In A Similar Role Or Through Internships Or Apprenticeships. Experience In Operating And Maintaining Different Types Of Waste Water Treatment Systems Is Preferred.
Knowledge Of Environmental Regulations: Waste Water Operators At Perdue Farms Must Have A Good Understanding Of Local, State, And Federal Regulations Related To Waste Water Management. This Includes Knowledge Of Permits, Discharge Limits, And Reporting Requirements. Candidates With Experience In Ensuring Compliance With Environmental Regulations Will Be Preferred.
Physical Ability: The Job Of A Waste Water Operator At Perdue Farms May Involve Physically Demanding Tasks Such As Lifting Heavy Equipment, Climbing Ladders, And Working In Confined Spaces. Candidates Should Be Physically Fit And Able To Perform These Tasks Safely And Consistently. They Should Also Be Comfortable Working In Various Weather Conditions.
