- Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of all local, state, and federal environmental regulations and ensure Perdue Farms facilities are in compliance at all times.
- Monitor and evaluate facility operations to identify potential environmental risks and implement proactive measures to prevent and mitigate any negative impacts.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement sustainable practices and initiatives across all facilities, with a focus on reducing waste, conserving resources, and minimizing our carbon footprint.
- Conduct regular environmental audits and assessments to identify areas for improvement and develop action plans to address any issues.
- Serve as the primary contact for all environmental regulatory agencies and ensure timely and accurate reporting of required data and information.
- Develop and maintain relationships with external partners and vendors to identify potential opportunities for collaboration on sustainability projects.
- Train and educate facility employees on environmental regulations, best practices, and the importance of sustainability in our operations.
- Develop and manage budgets for environmental initiatives and ensure all projects are completed within established timelines and financial constraints.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and advancements in sustainable practices and make recommendations for their implementation within Perdue Farms facilities.
- Communicate regularly with senior management to provide updates on environmental performance, progress towards sustainability goals, and any potential risks or issues.
Bachelor's Degree In Environmental Science, Biology, Or A Related Field
Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Environmental Management, Preferably In The Agriculture Or Food Industry
Strong Knowledge Of Federal, State, And Local Environmental Regulations And Permitting Processes
Experience Developing And Implementing Environmental Policies And Procedures
Excellent Communication And Leadership Skills, With The Ability To Work Collaboratively With Cross-Functional Teams And Manage Multiple Projects Simultaneously.
