Job Description

Welcome to Perdue Farms, where we are committed to providing high-quality poultry products to our customers. We are currently seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as a Night Feed Delivery Driver. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering feed to our poultry farms during the night shift. We are looking for someone who is reliable, detail-oriented, and has a strong work ethic. Safely and efficiently operate a delivery truck to transport feed to various poultry farms during the night shift.
Ensure all feed deliveries are made in a timely manner to meet production schedules and customer demands.
Maintain accurate records of all feed deliveries, including quantities, locations, and delivery times.
Adhere to all company and industry safety regulations and procedures while operating the delivery truck.
Perform routine maintenance checks on the delivery truck to ensure it is in good working condition.
Communicate effectively with the poultry farms to ensure accurate and timely delivery of feed.
Collaborate with the warehouse and production teams to ensure proper inventory levels and timely delivery of feed.
Monitor and report any issues or concerns with the delivery truck or feed quality to the appropriate supervisor.
Maintain a clean and organized truck, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are stocked and ready for use.
Continuously strive to improve efficiency and productivity in feed delivery processes.
Follow all company policies and procedures, including attendance and punctuality requirements.
Demonstrate a positive and professional attitude while representing the company to customers and the public.
Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while operating the delivery truck.
Other duties as assigned by the supervisor or manager.

Job Qualifications

Valid Commercial Driver's License (Cdl): A Night Feed Delivery Driver At Perdue Farms Must Possess A Valid Cdl In Order To Legally Operate A Commercial Vehicle And Transport Feed To Various Farms.
Clean Driving Record: As A Night Feed Delivery Driver, It Is Crucial To Have A Clean Driving Record To Ensure Safe And Timely Delivery Of Feed. Perdue Farms Will Likely Require Candidates To Provide A Copy Of Their Driving Record As Part Of The Application Process.
Familiarity With Dot Regulations: The Department Of Transportation (Dot) Has Strict Regulations For Commercial Vehicle Drivers. A Qualified Candidate For The Night Feed Delivery Driver Position Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of These Regulations To Ensure Compliance And Safety.
Physical Stamina And Endurance: This Role Often Involves Long Hours Of Driving And Physically Demanding Work Such As Loading And Unloading Feed. Therefore, Candidates Should Be Physically Fit And Have The Stamina To Perform These Tasks Efficiently.
Experience In The Agriculture Industry: While Not A Mandatory Requirement, Having Prior Experience In The Agriculture Industry Can Be Beneficial For A Night Feed Delivery Driver At Perdue Farms.
