Oversee and manage the maintenance and reliability program for all production equipment at Perdue Farms.
Develop and implement preventative maintenance plans and procedures to ensure maximum uptime and efficiency of equipment.
Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify any potential maintenance or reliability issues and develop solutions to address them.
Collaborate with other departments and teams to schedule and coordinate maintenance activities in a way that minimizes disruptions to production.
Manage and lead a team of maintenance technicians, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities, including costs, downtime, and equipment performance.
Monitor equipment performance and identify areas for improvement to increase efficiency and reduce downtime.
Develop and manage a budget for maintenance and reliability activities, ensuring cost-effective solutions.
Stay up-to-date with industry advancements and best practices in maintenance and reliability to continuously improve processes and procedures.
Communicate regularly with management and other departments on equipment status, maintenance needs, and potential issues.
Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies related to maintenance and equipment operation.
Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement within the maintenance team.
Participate in strategic planning and decision-making related to equipment maintenance and reliability.
Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to identify and procure necessary parts and equipment for maintenance and repairs.
Handle any emergency maintenance situations in a timely and efficient manner.

Job Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree In Engineering Or Related Field: A Maintenance And Reliability Manager At Perdue Farms Should Have At Least A Bachelor's Degree In Engineering Or A Related Field Such As Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Or Electrical Engineering. This Will Ensure That The Candidate Has A Strong Technical Background And Can Effectively Manage The Maintenance And Reliability Of Equipment And Facilities.
Minimum Of 5 Years Experience In Maintenance And Reliability Management: Perdue Farms Requires A Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Maintenance And Reliability Management. This Experience Should Include Managing A Team Of Maintenance Technicians, Developing Maintenance Strategies, And Implementing Preventive And Predictive Maintenance Programs.
Strong Knowledge Of Maintenance Management Software: The Maintenance And Reliability Manager At Perdue Farms Must Have A Strong Understanding Of Maintenance Management Software, Such As Cmms (Computerized Maintenance Management System) Or Eam (Enterprise Asset Management) Systems. This Will Enable Them To Effectively Track And Analyze Maintenance Data To Improve Equipment Reliability And Reduce Downtime.
Knowledge Of Lean Manufacturing Principles: Perdue Farms Follows Lean Manufacturing Principles To Optimize Production Processes And Reduce Waste. The Maintenance And Reliability Manager Should Have A Strong Understanding Of These Principles And Be Able To Apply Them To Maintenance Processes To Improve Efficiency And Reduce Costs.
Excellent Communication And Leadership Skills: As A Manager, The Maintenance And Reliability Manager At Perdue Farms Will Be Responsible For Leading And Motivating A Team Of Maintenance Technicians. Therefore, Strong Communication And Leadership Skills Are Essential For Success In This Role. The Candidate Should Be Able To Effectively Communicate With Team Members, As Well As Other Departments And Upper Management.
