  1. Operate and maintain equipment used for the handling and storage of grain.
  2. Inspect and monitor grain for quality, ensuring it meets company standards.
  3. Follow safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
  4. Maintain accurate records of grain inventories and transactions.
  5. Work collaboratively with team members to ensure efficient and timely processing of grain.
  6. Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform routine maintenance as needed.
  7. Communicate effectively with team members and management to ensure smooth operations.
  8. Handle and transport grain using appropriate equipment and techniques.
  9. Adhere to company policies and procedures, including hygiene and sanitation standards.
  10. Continuously seek opportunities for process improvement and implement new methods to increase efficiency and productivity.

Job Qualifications
  • Experience In Grain Handling And Operations: Candidates Should Have Prior Experience Working With Grain, Preferably In A Production Or Agricultural Setting. This Includes Knowledge Of Grain Handling Equipment, Safety Procedures, And Storage Methods.

  • Knowledge Of Quality Control Standards: Grain Operators Must Be Able To Ensure That All Grain Meets Quality Standards Set By Perdue Farms. This Requires An Understanding Of Grading Systems, Moisture Levels, And Other Quality Indicators.

  • Ability To Operate Machinery And Equipment: Grain Operators Are Responsible For Operating And Maintaining Various Types Of Equipment, Including Grain Elevators, Conveyors, And Other Machinery. Candidates Should Have Experience Operating Similar Equipment And Possess Basic Mechanical Skills.

  • Attention To Detail: Grain Handling Involves A Lot Of Documentation, Record-Keeping, And Monitoring Of Various Processes. Candidates Should Have A Strong Attention To Detail To Ensure Accuracy And Compliance With Company Policies And Procedures.

  • Physical Stamina And Ability To Work In Varying Conditions: Grain Handling Can Be A Physically Demanding Job, Requiring Candidates To Be Able To Lift Heavy Objects, Work In Confined Spaces, And Withstand Varying Weather Conditions. Candidates Should Be In Good Physical Condition And Able To Work Long Hours As Needed.
