Job Description

At Perdue Farms, we are looking for an experienced Food Scientist to join our team and help us continue creating great-tasting and nutritious foods. As a Food Scientist, you will be responsible for researching, developing, and improving food products and processes. We are seeking a person with a passion for food science, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to think outside the box.The ideal candidate for this position will have a Bachelor's degree in Food Science or a related field with at least three years of experience in food manufacturing and/or product development. The candidate must be well-versed in food safety protocols and have a strong understanding of the principles of food science. In addition, the candidate should possess excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills.If you have the qualifications and enthusiasm for a career in food science, we invite you to join our team and help make a difference in the food industry.

Responsibilities:

Research and develop new food products and processes that meet quality and safety standards.
Analyze data and develop research reports.
Implement food safety protocols in accordance with industry standards.
Develop new processing techniques and equipment for food production.
Monitor quality assurance of food products and suggest improvements.
Analyze existing food products to assess their nutritional content and suggest changes.
Investigate new ingredients and technologies to improve existing food products.
Work with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient production of food products.
Present ideas and research findings to upper management.
Keep up to date with advances in food science and technology.
