  1. Conduct research and development activities to support the creation of new biopolymer and botanical-based products for PepsiCo's portfolio.
  2. Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in testing and analysis.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and evaluate potential biopolymer and botanical ingredients for product development.
  4. Perform experiments and trials to optimize formulations and processes for new product development.
  5. Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for testing and analysis of biopolymer and botanical ingredients.
  6. Analyze and interpret data to make recommendations for product improvements and modifications.
  7. Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in biopolymer and botanical research to inform product development strategies.
  8. Coordinate with external partners and suppliers for sourcing and testing of biopolymer and botanical ingredients.
  9. Train and mentor junior technicians and laboratory assistants on laboratory procedures and techniques.
  10. Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized laboratory space.
  11. Communicate effectively with team members and other departments to provide updates on project progress and findings.
  12. Participate in meetings and presentations to share research findings and contribute to product development strategies.
  13. Continuously seek opportunities for process and product improvement, and provide recommendations for cost-effective and sustainable solutions.
  14. Maintain accurate and detailed records of experiments, procedures, and results.

Job Qualifications
  • In-Depth Knowledge Of Biopolymers And Botanicals: A Senior Technician In This Role Must Possess A Strong Understanding Of Biopolymer Chemistry And The Properties Of Various Botanical Ingredients Used In Food And Beverage Products.

  • Experience In Product Development: Candidates Should Have A Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Product Development Within The Food And Beverage Industry, With A Focus On Biopolymer And Botanical-Based Formulations.

  • Analytical Skills: The Ability To Conduct Thorough Analysis And Interpretation Of Data Is Essential For This Role, As The Senior Technician Will Be Responsible For Optimizing Biopolymer And Botanical Ingredient Combinations For Product Development.

  • Technical Expertise: A Strong Technical Background In Food Science, Chemistry, Or A Related Field Is Required For This Position. This Includes Hands-On Experience With Laboratory Equipment And Techniques, As Well As A Deep Understanding Of Product Formulation And Processing.
