- Develop and implement strategies to shape and influence public policies that directly impact the company and its stakeholders.
- Conduct thorough research and analysis on policy issues and their potential impact on the company.
- Collaborate with various internal and external stakeholders, including government officials, industry associations, and advocacy groups, to gather insights and build relationships.
- Stay up-to-date on current and emerging policy developments and communicate relevant information to key stakeholders within the company.
- Assist in the preparation of policy briefings, presentations, and other materials for internal and external use.
- Support the tracking and monitoring of policy initiatives and their progress.
- Coordinate and facilitate meetings and events related to public policy, including organizing logistics and preparing agendas.
- Serve as a point of contact for inquiries related to public policy and provide timely and accurate responses.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date records of policy-related documents and materials.
- Proactively identify opportunities for the company to engage in policy discussions and advocate for its interests.
- Contribute to the development and execution of corporate social responsibility initiatives related to public policy.
- Continuously evaluate and improve processes and procedures related to public policy activities.
- Represent the company at external events and conferences related to public policy.
- Act as a liaison between the public policy team and other departments within the company.
- Uphold the company's values and standards while advocating for its interests in the public policy arena.
Bachelor's Degree In Political Science, Public Policy, Or A Related Field
Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Public Policy, Government Relations, Or Advocacy Work
Strong Understanding Of Legislative And Regulatory Processes At The Local, State, And Federal Levels
Excellent Organizational And Project Management Skills, With The Ability To Coordinate And Lead Cross-Functional Teams
Proven Track Record Of Successful Public Policy Initiatives And Stakeholder Engagement, Preferably In The Food And Beverage Industry.
