  1. Develop and implement health and safety policies and procedures in line with company and regulatory standards.
  2. Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and risks in the workplace.
  3. Train employees on health and safety protocols and procedures.
  4. Investigate and report any accidents, incidents, or near misses and recommend corrective actions.
  5. Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety laws and regulations.
  6. Collaborate with other departments to ensure all safety measures are in place and effective.
  7. Maintain accurate records and reports related to health and safety.
  8. Continuously monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of health and safety programs and make necessary improvements.
  9. Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on health and safety issues.
  10. Conduct safety meetings and training sessions to promote a culture of safety.
  11. Stay updated on industry developments and best practices related to health and safety.
  12. Work closely with the Human Resources department to ensure all employees are properly trained and certified in safety procedures.
  13. Communicate regularly with management and employees on health and safety issues and updates.
  14. Develop emergency response plans and procedures.
  15. Participate in the investigation and resolution of health and safety-related grievances and concerns.
  16. Monitor and manage the budget for health and safety programs and initiatives.
  17. Collaborate with external agencies and organizations to ensure compliance and stay updated on industry standards.
  18. Lead and support initiatives to continuously improve the health and safety culture within the organization.
  19. Mentor and train new employees and team members on health and safety policies and procedures.
  20. Represent the company in health and safety-related meetings and conferences.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Occupational Health And Safety, Environmental Science, Or Related Field

  • Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Health And Safety Management, Preferably In A Manufacturing Or Food Production Setting

  • Knowledge And Understanding Of Relevant Health And Safety Regulations And Laws, Including Osha And Provincial Regulations

  • Strong Communication And Leadership Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Train And Educate Employees On Health And Safety Policies And Procedures

  • Experience Developing And Implementing Safety Programs, Conducting Risk Assessments, And Managing Incident Investigations.
