Job Description

  1. Develop and implement health and safety policies and procedures in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  2. Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards.
  3. Create and maintain safety training programs for all employees, including new hire orientation and ongoing training sessions.
  4. Investigate and report on any safety incidents, accidents, or near misses, identifying root causes and recommending corrective actions.
  5. Collaborate with department managers to address any safety concerns and develop solutions for improving safety practices.
  6. Maintain accurate records of all safety-related activities, including incident reports, safety training records, and safety inspection reports.
  7. Stay up-to-date on all relevant health and safety regulations and communicate any changes or updates to management and employees.
  8. Conduct regular safety meetings with employees to discuss safety practices, address concerns, and promote a culture of safety awareness.
  9. Coordinate with external agencies, such as OSHA and local fire departments, to ensure compliance with all safety regulations and requirements.
  10. Serve as a resource for employees on safety-related issues and provide guidance and support as needed.
  11. Assist in the development and implementation of emergency preparedness plans and procedures.
  12. Monitor and track safety metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  13. Act as a liaison between management, employees, and external agencies on safety-related matters.
  14. Participate in safety committees and meetings to provide input and recommendations for improving safety practices.
  15. Proactively identify potential safety hazards and work with relevant parties to eliminate or mitigate them.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Occupational Safety And Health, Environmental Science, Or Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Health And Safety Management, Preferably In A Manufacturing Or Industrial Setting.

  • Knowledge Of Osha Regulations And Strong Understanding Of Safety Principles And Practices.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Train And Educate Employees On Safety Procedures.

  • Certification In Occupational Health And Safety (Oh&S) Or Certified Safety Professional (Csp) Preferred.
