Job Description

As the Assistant Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our company maintains compliance with all environmental and safety regulations, while also promoting a culture of safety within our organization. We are looking for someone with a strong background in environmental health and safety, excellent communication skills, and a passion for creating a safe and healthy workplace.   1. Develop and implement company-wide environmental health and safety policies and procedures.
  2. Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with all safety regulations.
  3. Collaborate with department managers to identify and address safety concerns and develop corrective action plans.
  4. Train employees on safety protocols and procedures to promote a culture of safety within the organization.
  5. Stay updated on all environmental and safety regulations and ensure company compliance.
  6. Conduct incident investigations and develop strategies to prevent future incidents.
  7. Maintain and update all safety records and reports.
  8. Work closely with external agencies and regulatory bodies to ensure all necessary permits and approvals are obtained.
  9. Implement and manage emergency response plans and procedures.
  10. Identify and recommend improvements to safety equipment and processes.
  11. Coordinate and conduct safety training sessions for new hires.
  12. Analyze data and trends to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies for continuous improvement.
  13. Communicate and report on safety performance to upper management.
  14. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure safety protocols are integrated into new processes and procedures.
  15. Conduct regular meetings with safety committee to discuss safety concerns and address any issues.
  16. Maintain a positive and proactive relationship with employees to promote a safe and healthy workplace.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Environmental Science, Occupational Health And Safety, Or Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Environmental Health And Safety Management, Preferably In A Manufacturing Or Food Production Environment.

  • Knowledge Of Federal, State, And Local Regulations And Standards Related To Environmental Health And Safety, Including Osha, Epa, And Fda.

  • Strong Communication And Leadership Skills To Effectively Train And Manage A Team Of Safety Professionals.

  • Certification In One Or More Environmental Health And Safety Disciplines, Such As Certified Safety Professional (Csp) Or Certified Industrial Hygienist (Cih).
