As a Quality Control Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that every cup of Peet's coffee meets our rigorous standards of excellence.   1. Conduct thorough inspections of coffee beans, grounds, and brewed coffee to ensure they meet Peet's high-quality standards.
  2. Utilize sensory evaluation techniques to identify any defects or inconsistencies in the taste, aroma, and appearance of the coffee.
  3. Collaborate with the production team to establish and maintain quality control procedures throughout the entire coffee production process.
  4. Monitor and analyze data on coffee quality and make recommendations for improvements or corrective actions.
  5. Train and educate staff on quality control protocols and best practices.
  6. Conduct regular cuppings and sensory training sessions to maintain and improve the team's tasting abilities.
  7. Conduct regular audits of equipment and machinery to ensure they are functioning properly and meeting quality standards.
  8. Communicate any quality issues or concerns to management and assist in finding solutions.
  9. Work closely with suppliers to ensure the consistency and quality of coffee beans.
  10. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and advancements in coffee quality control techniques.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Food Science, Chemistry, Or Related Field

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Experience In Quality Control Or Food Safety In A Manufacturing Or Food Service Environment

  • Knowledge Of Fda And Usda Regulations And Food Safety Standards

  • Strong Attention To Detail And Ability To Analyze Data And Identify Trends
