  1. Install and maintain structured cabling systems for Paycom's clients in a timely and efficient manner.
  2. Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues related to structured cabling systems.
  3. Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices for cabling installations.
  4. Collaborate with team members to plan and execute cabling projects according to client specifications.
  5. Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide exceptional customer service.
  6. Keep accurate records of all cabling installations and maintenance activities.
  7. Stay updated on industry advancements and new technologies related to structured cabling systems.
  8. Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while working on cabling projects.
  9. Maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure efficient workflow.
  10. Assist in training and mentoring new technicians to ensure a knowledgeable and skilled team.
  11. Take ownership of assigned tasks and proactively seek solutions to any challenges that may arise.
  12. Collaborate with other departments such as IT and engineering to ensure seamless integration of cabling systems.
  13. Maintain a positive and professional attitude while representing Paycom to clients and colleagues.
  14. Continuously strive to improve processes and procedures for cabling installations and maintenance.
  15. Follow company policies and procedures to ensure consistency and standardization across all projects.

Job Qualifications

  • Knowledge Of Industry Standards And Regulations: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Industry Standards And Regulations Related To Data And Voice Cabling, Such As Tia/Eia And Ansi Standards.

  • Experience With Structured Cabling Systems: Paycom Is Looking For A Candidate With Hands-On Experience In Installing, Terminating, And Testing Various Types Of Structured Cabling Systems, Including Copper And Fiber Optic.

  • Technical Proficiency: A Successful Structured Cabling Technician Should Possess A Strong Technical Background And Be Comfortable Working With Different Cabling Tools And Equipment, As Well As Troubleshooting Connectivity Issues.

  • Attention To Detail: Paycom Values Attention To Detail, And The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Sharp Eye For Detail To Ensure All Cabling Installations Are Completed Accurately And According To Specifications.

  • Team Player: Structured Cabling Projects Often Require Collaboration With Other Technicians, Contractors, And It Teams. The Candidate Should Have Excellent Communication Skills And Be Able To Work Well In A Team Environment To Ensure Timely And Efficient Project Completion.
