Job Description

As a Database Administrator at Paycom, you will be responsible for the design, installation, configuration and maintenance of our databases. This role is essential to our organization and requires a high level of technical expertise and attention to detail.We are looking for an individual who has a Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, and at least five years of experience in database administration. A good understanding of database design principles, SQL query writing, and database security is essential. You should also be comfortable working with various operating systems and web applications. If you have a passion for data and the drive to ensure our databases are running optimally, then we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities:

  • Design, install, configure, and maintain databases to meet customer needs
  • Develop and maintain database security protocols
  • Troubleshoot database performance issues
  • Monitor database operations to ensure optimal performance
  • Write and optimize SQL queries
  • Develop database systems to support customer requirements
  • Ensure database backups are regularly taken and stored
  • Test and validate database changes
  • Assist with data migration projects
  • Research and resolve database related issues
  • Generate reports and analytics from databases
