- Receive and inspect incoming materials and supplies, ensuring accuracy and quality according to company standards.
- Safely and efficiently transport materials to designated production areas using appropriate equipment, such as forklifts or pallet jacks.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and report any discrepancies or shortages to the appropriate personnel.
- Organize and maintain the warehouse and storage areas, ensuring materials are easily accessible and properly labeled.
- Prepare materials for shipment, including packaging and labeling, according to company and customer specifications.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely delivery of materials to production lines, following a predetermined schedule.
- Communicate with vendors and suppliers to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues that may arise.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures while handling materials and operating equipment.
- Continuously monitor and report on inventory levels, anticipating potential shortages or excesses and taking appropriate action.
- Participate in company training programs to improve efficiency and knowledge of material handling processes.
- Assist in the development and implementation of new procedures and strategies to improve material handling operations.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, keeping it free of hazards and ensuring compliance with company and OSHA standards.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as production and shipping, to ensure smooth and efficient material flow throughout the supply chain.
- Proactively identify areas for improvement and make recommendations for process or equipment upgrades.
