- Perform high-quality welding and fabrication of aerospace components using advanced machinery and techniques.
- Ensure all welds meet industry standards and specifications for strength, durability, and precision.
- Collaborate with engineers and designers to interpret blueprints and technical drawings for welding and fabrication projects.
- Maintain and operate welding equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
- Inspect and troubleshoot machinery for any defects or malfunctions, and perform necessary repairs or adjustments.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while performing welding and fabrication duties.
- Keep accurate records of welding processes and materials used.
- Continuously monitor and maintain the quality of welded components, making adjustments as needed.
- Identify and report any potential issues or concerns with machinery, materials, or processes to the appropriate supervisor.
- Stay updated on industry developments and advancements in welding technology to ensure best practices are being utilized.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects and meet production deadlines.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Assist in the training and development of new welders as needed.
- Communicate effectively with team members and other departments to ensure smooth workflow and project completion.
- Demonstrate a strong work ethic and commitment to quality in all welding and fabrication projects.
Experience With Welding In An Aerospace Manufacturing Environment: Candidates For This Position Should Have A Minimum Of 2-3 Years Of Experience In Welding Within The Aerospace Industry. This Includes Experience With Welding Various Materials Used In Aerospace, Such As Aluminum, Titanium, And Steel.
Knowledge Of Welding Techniques And Equipment: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Different Welding Techniques, Such As Tig, Mig, And Resistance Welding. They Should Also Have Experience Operating And Maintaining Welding Equipment, Including Robotic Welders.
Ability To Read And Interpret Technical Drawings: As A Machine Welder, It Is Essential To Have The Ability To Read And Interpret Technical Drawings To Ensure Accurate And Precise Welding. Candidates Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Geometric Dimensioning And Tolerancing (Gd&T) And Be Able To Work With Complex And Detailed Drawings.
Familiarity With Aerospace Quality Standards: Parker Hannifin Is A Leader In The Aerospace Industry, And As Such, Candidates Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Aerospace Quality Standards, Such As As9100 And Nadcap. Experience Working In A Highly Regulated And Quality-Focused Environment Is Preferred.
Strong Attention To Detail And Problem-Solving Skills: Machine Welding Requires A High Level Of Precision, And Candidates Should Have Excellent Attention To Detail. They Should Also Have Strong Problem-Solving Skills To Troubleshoot Welding Issues And Make Adjustments As Needed To Ensure Quality And Efficiency.
