  1. Develop and implement EHS policies, procedures and programs in alignment with company standards and regulatory requirements.
  2. Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with EHS regulations.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess and mitigate risks related to workplace safety, environmental impact, and health hazards.
  4. Provide guidance and training to employees on EHS best practices, procedures and regulations.
  5. Monitor and track EHS metrics and report on progress to management.
  6. Investigate and report on incidents, accidents and near-misses, and recommend corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
  7. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of EHS regulations and industry best practices, and make recommendations for continuous improvement.
  8. Develop and implement emergency response plans and procedures.
  9. Conduct regular safety meetings and training sessions to promote a culture of safety and maintain employee awareness.
  10. Collaborate with external agencies and organizations to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal EHS regulations.
  11. Oversee the proper handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials and waste.
  12. Serve as a point of contact for EHS inquiries and concerns from employees and management.
  13. Monitor and manage the EHS budget to ensure cost-effective implementation of programs and initiatives.
  14. Participate in EHS committees and meetings to provide insight and expertise on EHS matters.
  15. Communicate EHS updates and initiatives to all levels of the organization.

Job Qualifications
  • Knowledge Of Environmental, Health, And Safety Regulations: A Facility Ehs Specialist At Parker Hannifin Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Local, State, And Federal Regulations Pertaining To Environmental, Health, And Safety In A Manufacturing Facility.

  • Experience In Risk Assessment And Mitigation: This Role Requires The Ability To Identify Potential Hazards And Develop Strategies To Minimize Or Eliminate Risks To Employees, The Environment, And The Company.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As A Facility Ehs Specialist, You Will Need To Effectively Communicate Safety Policies And Procedures To Employees At All Levels Of The Organization. You Should Also Be Able To Build Relationships And Collaborate With Different Departments To Ensure Compliance And Continuous Improvement.

  • Demonstrated Problem-Solving Ability: The Ability To Think Critically And Find Solutions To Complex Safety And Environmental Issues Is Crucial For This Role. A Facility Ehs Specialist Should Be Able To Analyze Data, Identify Trends, And Develop Effective Corrective And Preventive Actions.

  • Relevant Education And Experience: Parker Hannifin Typically Requires Candidates For This Role To Have A Bachelor's Degree In A Related Field Such As Environmental Science, Occupational Health, Or Industrial Hygiene. Additionally, Experience In A Manufacturing Or Industrial Environment, Particularly In A Safety Or Environmental Role, Is Highly Preferred.
