Job Description

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Corporate Credit Manager to join our finance team. As a Corporate Credit Manager, you will play a critical role in managing the credit and collection processes for our organization. Our ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with a strong understanding of credit policies and procedures, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record of managing credit risk and improving collection processes.   1. Develop and implement credit policies and procedures to ensure timely and effective collection of outstanding invoices and minimize risk of bad debt.
  2. Monitor credit limits and payment terms for new and existing customers in accordance with company guidelines and risk tolerance.
  3. Review and analyze credit applications, credit reports, and financial statements to determine creditworthiness of customers.
  4. Oversee the collection process for delinquent accounts, including communication with customers, negotiation of payment plans, and escalation to legal action when necessary.
  5. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of customer accounts, credit limits, payment terms, and collection efforts.
  6. Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to resolve customer disputes and address credit-related issues.
  7. Regularly review and analyze credit data to identify trends and potential risks, and make recommendations for process improvements to minimize credit losses.
  8. Develop and maintain relationships with credit reporting agencies, collection agencies, and other external partners to support credit management efforts.
  9. Train and educate team members on credit policies and procedures, and provide guidance and support to ensure adherence to company standards.
  10. Prepare and present reports to senior management on credit performance, including delinquency rates, collection efforts, and bad debt reserves.
  11. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in credit management, and make recommendations for improvements to the credit process.
  12. Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to ensure accurate and timely posting of payments and adjustments to customer accounts.
  13. Maintain a high level of professionalism and customer service when communicating with internal and external stakeholders.
  14. Adhere to all regulatory and legal requirements related to credit and collections, such as Fair Credit Reporting Act and bankruptcy laws.
  15. Monitor and manage the performance and development of credit team members, providing coaching and feedback as needed to ensure a high-performing team.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Finance, Accounting, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Credit Management Or Related Field.

  • Strong Understanding Of Financial Analysis And Risk Assessment.

  • Excellent Communication And Negotiation Skills.

  • Ability To Work Independently And Make Sound Decisions Under Pressure.
