Associate Director, Intellectual Property Counsel

We’re looking for an experienced and passionate Associate Director, Intellectual Property Counsel to join the Otis team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing legal advice and counsel on intellectual property matters and providing guidance on the development and protection of Otis’s intellectual property portfolio.To be successful in this role, you must have a Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school, with strong academic credentials, and be an active member in good standing of the bar of at least one state. You must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in intellectual property law, including experience in patent prosecution, trademark prosecution, and intellectual property litigation. You must also have excellent knowledge of USPTO rules, as well as the ability to develop and execute strategies to maximize intellectual property protection and enforce rights.You must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to present complex legal issues in an understandable manner to internal and external audiences.
