- Provide compassionate and skilled nursing care to patients with wound, ostomy, and continence needs
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' wound, ostomy, and continence status
- Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patients' specific needs and goals
- Monitor and evaluate patients' progress and make necessary adjustments to care plans
- Educate patients and their families on wound, ostomy, and continence management techniques and strategies
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated and holistic care for patients
- Utilize critical thinking skills to anticipate and address potential complications or issues related to wound, ostomy, and continence care
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient care and progress
- Adhere to all medical and ethical standards and guidelines in providing care to patients
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current on best practices and advancements in wound, ostomy, and continence care
- Demonstrate a commitment to delivering exceptional healthcare and making a positive impact on patients' lives.
Bachelor's Degree In Nursing: A Minimum Of A Bachelor's Degree In Nursing Is Required For This Position, With A Preference For A Master's Degree In Nursing.
Current Rn Licensure: Candidates Must Possess A Current And Unrestricted Rn License In The State Of Florida.
Wound Ostomy Continence Nursing Certification: Applicants Must Have A Current Wound Ostomy Continence Nursing (Wocn) Certification From The Wound, Ostomy And Continence Nursing Certification Board (Wocncb).
Minimum Of Two Years Of Clinical Experience: Candidates Must Have A Minimum Of Two Years Of Clinical Experience In Wound Ostomy Continence Nursing, Preferably In An Acute Care Setting.
Strong Communication And Collaboration Skills: The Ideal Candidate Should Possess Excellent Communication Skills And Be Able To Work Collaboratively With Interdisciplinary Teams To Provide Comprehensive Care For Patients With Complex Wound, Ostomy, And Continence Needs.
