Job Description

As a Vascular Technologist, you will be responsible for performing various non-invasive vascular procedures to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients.   1. Conduct non-invasive vascular procedures: Perform a variety of non-invasive procedures such as ultrasounds, Doppler studies, and other vascular tests to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of patients.
  2. Ensure high-quality patient care: Provide attentive and compassionate care to patients, ensuring their comfort and safety during procedures.
  3. Monitor and analyze test results: Accurately monitor and analyze test results to provide physicians with detailed information for diagnosis and treatment planning.
  4. Maintain equipment and supplies: Ensure all equipment and supplies are properly maintained and in good working condition for optimal patient care.
  5. Educate patients: Communicate clearly and effectively with patients, explaining procedures, and answering any questions or concerns they may have.
  6. Collaborate with healthcare team: Work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care and follow-up for patients.
  7. Adhere to safety protocols: Follow established safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe and sterile environment for patients and staff.
  8. Keep accurate records: Record and maintain accurate patient records, including test results, patient information, and any other relevant documentation.
  9. Stay updated on industry developments: Stay current with advancements in the field of vascular technology, attending conferences and workshops, and seeking continuing education opportunities.
  10. Uphold professional standards: Maintain a high level of professionalism and ethical standards in all interactions with patients, colleagues, and the healthcare organization.

Job Qualifications
  • Education And Certification: A Minimum Of An Associate's Degree In Cardiovascular Technology Or A Related Field Is Required, Along With Certification As A Registered Vascular Technologist (Rvt) Through The American Registry For Diagnostic Medical Sonography (Ardms).

  • Experience: At Least 2-3 Years Of Experience Working As A Vascular Technologist In A Non-Invasive Lab Setting Is Preferred. Experience With A Variety Of Diagnostic Procedures, Including Doppler Ultrasound And Arterial/Venous Duplex Imaging, Is Highly Desirable.

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency In Operating And Troubleshooting Ultrasound Equipment, As Well As Knowledge Of Relevant Software Programs And Electronic Medical Record Systems, Is Essential. Familiarity With Current Industry Standards And Best Practices In Non-Invasive Vascular Imaging Is Also Important.

  • Communication And Interpersonal Skills: Excellent Communication Skills Are Necessary To Effectively Interact With Patients, Physicians, And Other Healthcare Professionals. The Ability To Explain Procedures And Results To Patients In A Clear And Empathetic Manner Is Crucial.

  • Attention To Detail And Quality Assurance: A Strong Attention To Detail Is Necessary To Produce Accurate And High-Quality Diagnostic Images. The Ability To Follow Established Protocols And Maintain Strict Adherence To Quality Assurance Standards Is Critical To The Successful Performance Of This Role.
