Job Description

In this role, you will utilize your expertise in vascular ultrasound to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of a variety of vascular conditions.   1. Perform high-quality vascular ultrasound exams on patients using specialized equipment and techniques.
  2. Accurately interpret and analyze ultrasound images to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of vascular conditions.
  3. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
  4. Maintain a safe and clean working environment by following infection control and safety protocols.
  5. Ensure patient comfort and safety during procedures by explaining the process and addressing any concerns or questions.
  6. Document and maintain accurate patient records and technical data.
  7. Stay up-to-date on advancements and best practices in the field of vascular sonography.
  8. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of departmental policies and procedures.
  9. Communicate effectively with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals.
  10. Adhere to ethical and legal standards, including patient confidentiality and informed consent.
  11. Maintain equipment and supplies, report any malfunctions or issues promptly.
  12. Attend regular trainings and educational seminars to maintain and expand knowledge and skills.
  13. Provide exceptional customer service and uphold the values and mission of Orlando Health.
  14. Demonstrate compassion, empathy, and professionalism towards patients and their families.
  15. Adhere to all organizational and departmental policies and procedures.

Job Qualifications
  • Formal Education In Vascular Sonography: A Minimum Of An Associate's Degree In Vascular Sonography From An Accredited Institution Is Required For This Position.

  • Ardms Certification: The Candidate Must Possess Active Certification From The American Registry For Diagnostic Medical Sonography (Ardms) In Vascular Sonography.

  • Experience In Vascular Sonography: A Minimum Of 2 Years Of Full-Time Experience In Performing Vascular Ultrasound Procedures Is Preferred For This Role.

  • Knowledge Of Vascular Anatomy And Pathology: The Candidate Must Have A Strong Understanding Of Vascular Anatomy And Pathology To Accurately Perform And Interpret Ultrasound Exams.

  • Excellent Communication Skills: As This Role Involves Working Closely With Patients And Healthcare Professionals, Strong Communication Skills Are Essential For A Vascular Sonographer At Orlando Health. This Includes The Ability To Effectively Communicate With Patients, Collaborate With Medical Staff, And Accurately Document And Report Findings.
