We are currently seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our Trauma Burn Stepdown team.   1. Provide exceptional patient care to individuals who have experienced traumatic injuries and severe burns.
  2. Utilize advanced nursing skills and knowledge to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
  3. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
  4. Monitor and document patient progress, including vital signs, medication administration, and response to treatments.
  5. Educate patients and their families on post-care instructions and provide emotional support.
  6. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, including infection control protocols and safety guidelines.
  7. Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, ensuring confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
  8. Act as an advocate for patients, ensuring their needs are met and their rights are respected.
  9. Keep up-to-date with current nursing practices and participate in continuing education activities.
  10. Demonstrate compassion, empathy, and a positive attitude towards patients and their families.
  11. Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to provide the best possible care for patients.
  12. Serve as a resource and mentor to less experienced nurses and assist in their professional development.
  13. Support the mission and values of Orlando Health and promote a positive image of the organization.
  14. Maintain a high level of professionalism and adhere to ethical standards in all interactions with patients, families, and colleagues.
  15. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and assist in developing and implementing evidence-based practices.
  16. Maintain a safe and clean work environment, following infection control and safety protocols.
  17. Communicate effectively and efficiently with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  18. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications
  • Current Rn License In The State Of Florida: Candidates For This Position Must Possess A Valid And Active Rn License In The State Of Florida, Demonstrating Their Knowledge And Competency In Providing Nursing Care.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In A Trauma Burn Unit: Candidates Must Have At Least 2 Years Of Recent And Relevant Experience Working In A Trauma Burn Unit, Providing Care To Patients With Severe Burns And Traumatic Injuries.

  • Bls And Acls Certifications: Candidates Must Hold Current Basic Life Support (Bls) And Advanced Cardiac Life Support (Acls) Certifications, Demonstrating Their Ability To Respond To Life-Threatening Emergencies And Provide Quality Care To Patients.

  • Bachelor's Degree In Nursing (Bsn): While An Associate's Degree In Nursing May Be Accepted, Preference Will Be Given To Candidates With A Bsn. A Higher Level Of Education Demonstrates A Commitment To Professional Development And Advanced Nursing Knowledge.

  • Excellent Communication And Critical Thinking Skills: The Ideal Candidate Will Possess Strong Communication And Critical Thinking Skills, As Well As The Ability To Work Well Under Pressure And In A Fast-Paced Environment. These Skills Are Essential In Providing Quality Care To Patients In A Trauma Burn Stepdown Unit.
