- Safely transport patients to and from various locations within the facility, including patient rooms, testing areas, and operating rooms.
- Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor while interacting with patients, their families, and healthcare staff.
- Monitor and respond to patient needs during transportation, including providing assistance with mobility and comfort.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control measures to ensure the well-being of patients and staff.
- Maintain accurate records of patient transportation, including documenting any relevant information or incidents.
- Communicate effectively with healthcare staff to ensure timely and efficient patient movement.
- Ensure the cleanliness and proper functioning of transport equipment, reporting any issues to the appropriate department.
- Participate in training and continuing education opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge related to patient care and transportation.
- Demonstrate a commitment to providing exceptional customer service and patient satisfaction.
- Adhere to all organizational policies and procedures, including confidentiality and HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure coordination and efficiency in patient transportation.
- Assist with other duties as assigned by the supervisor or manager.
Valid Driver's License: A Valid Driver's License Is Essential For A Transporter Job At Orlando Health, As The Role Requires Frequent Driving Of Hospital Vehicles To Transport Patients And Medical Supplies.
