  1. Safely and efficiently transport patients, equipment, and supplies throughout the healthcare facility.
  2. Maintain a high level of professionalism and excellent communication skills while interacting with patients, visitors, and staff.
  3. Adhere to all established safety protocols and procedures to ensure the well-being of patients during transportation.
  4. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all transportation activities.
  5. Collaborate with other healthcare team members to ensure the timely and efficient transfer of patients.
  6. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including equipment and supplies.
  7. Assist with the loading and unloading of patients onto transportation devices, such as wheelchairs or stretchers.
  8. Monitor and report any issues or concerns with equipment or supplies to the appropriate department.
  9. Provide exceptional customer service and care to patients and their families during the transportation process.
  10. Attend and participate in all mandatory training and educational opportunities to stay updated on best practices and procedures.
  11. Follow all HIPAA guidelines and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
  12. Demonstrate a positive attitude and a willingness to work collaboratively with team members to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow.
  13. Maintain a high level of attention to detail to ensure accurate and safe transportation of patients and equipment.

Job Qualifications
  • Valid Driver's License: A Transporter At Orlando Health Must Possess A Valid Driver's License To Operate Hospital Vehicles And Transport Patients Safely.

  • High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Minimum Of A High School Diploma Or Equivalent Is Required For This Role To Ensure Basic Educational Qualifications.

  • Basic Life Support (Bls) Certification: As A Transporter, One Must Be Trained In Basic Life Support Techniques To Respond Effectively To Emergency Situations.

  • Physical Strength And Stamina: Transporting Patients Between Different Areas Of The Hospital Requires Physical Strength And Stamina, As Well As The Ability To Lift And Move Heavy Objects.

  • Communication Skills: Good Communication Skills Are Essential For A Transporter To Effectively Interact With Patients, Their Families, And Hospital Staff. This Includes Being Able To Follow Instructions, Provide Updates On Patient Status, And Maintain A Professional Demeanor At All Times.
