  1. Prepare and maintain surgical instruments and equipment for procedures.
  2. Assist surgeons during surgeries by passing instruments, holding retractors, and performing other necessary tasks.
  3. Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and proactively provide assistance.
  4. Maintain strict adherence to sterile techniques and infection control protocols.
  5. Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure a smooth and efficient operation.
  6. Monitor and manage patient positioning and safety during procedures.
  7. Assist in the preparation and draping of patients for surgery.
  8. Provide post-operative care, including dressing changes, wound care, and documentation.
  9. Maintain accurate and detailed records of surgical procedures.
  10. Participate in ongoing training and education to stay current with advancements in surgical technology and techniques.
  11. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, including those related to patient confidentiality.
  12. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members to provide exceptional care and ensure patient satisfaction.
  13. Serve as a resource and mentor for other surgical team members.
  14. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated patient care.
  15. Remain current on all necessary certifications and licensure.

Job Qualifications
  • Certification As A Surgical Technician And First Assistant - Candidates Must Hold A Valid Certification As A Surgical Technician And First Assistant From An Accredited Program.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Women's Surgery - Candidates Must Have A Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working As A Surgical Technician And First Assistant In Women's Surgery, With A Strong Understanding Of The Procedures And Techniques Specific To This Specialty.

  • Knowledge Of Surgical Equipment And Instruments - Candidates Must Possess Knowledge Of The Latest Surgical Equipment And Instruments Used In Women's Surgery, And Be Able To Properly Operate And Maintain Them.

  • Strong Communication And Teamwork Skills - The Surgical Technician, First Assistant - Women's Surgery Must Have Excellent Communication And Teamwork Skills, As They Will Be Working Closely With The Surgical Team, Including The Surgeon, Anesthesiologist, And Other Surgical Staff.

  • Ability To Handle High-Stress Situations - This Role Requires The Ability To Remain Calm And Focused In High-Stress Situations, As Women's Surgery Can Be Complex And Challenging. The Candidate Should Be Able To Adapt To Changing Situations And Make Quick Decisions While Ensuring Patient Safety.
