- Assist surgeons during surgical procedures by preparing and organizing necessary equipment and supplies.
- Ensure the safety and comfort of patients before, during, and after surgery.
- Maintain a sterile environment in the operating room by following proper infection control protocols.
- Anticipate the needs of surgeons and other team members during procedures and provide necessary assistance.
- Handle and care for surgical instruments and equipment, ensuring they are in proper working condition.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure all necessary materials and equipment are available and ready for use.
- Monitor and document patient vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the surgical team.
- Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, as well as legal and ethical standards, to ensure the highest level of patient care.
- Participate in ongoing training and education to stay current on best practices and advancements in surgical technology.
- Maintain a professional and compassionate demeanor when interacting with patients, their families, and other healthcare professionals.
Knowledge Of Surgical Procedures, Instrumentation, And Sterile Techniques.
Certified Surgical Technologist (Cst) Credential From The National Board Of Surgical Technology And Surgical Assisting (Nbstsa).
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In A Surgical Technician Role, Preferably In A Hospital Setting.
Ability To Anticipate Surgeon's Needs And Maintain A Sterile Field During Surgical Procedures.
Strong Communication And Teamwork Skills To Effectively Collaborate With Surgeons, Nurses, And Other Members Of The Surgical Team.
