Are you a passionate and experienced Surgical Technologist looking to take your career to the next level? Orlando Health is seeking a dynamic and knowledgeable Surgical Tech Educator to join our team and help train the next generation of surgical technologists. As a leader in healthcare, we are dedicated to providing the highest quality of care to our patients and we are seeking a candidate who shares our commitment to excellence. If you have a minimum of 5 years of experience as a Surgical Technologist and possess strong teaching skills, we want to hear from you!

  1. Develop and implement educational curriculum for surgical technology students.
  2. Conduct training sessions and workshops for new and current surgical technologists.
  3. Create and update training materials, including manuals, presentations, and hands-on exercises.
  4. Assess and evaluate student progress and provide feedback for improvement.
  5. Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure that current industry standards and best practices are being taught.
  6. Stay up-to-date on advancements and changes in surgical technology and incorporate them into the training program.
  7. Provide guidance and mentorship to students and new surgical technologists.
  8. Organize and oversee clinical experiences for students in various surgical settings.
  9. Collaborate with department heads and administration to continuously improve the training program.
  10. Serve as a role model and exemplify professionalism, teamwork, and best practices in surgical technology.

Job Qualifications
  • Minimum Of 5 Years Experience As A Certified Surgical Technologist In An Acute Care Setting.

  • Bachelor's Degree In Healthcare Or Education Related Field.

  • Teaching Experience, Preferably In A Surgical Technology Program.

  • Knowledge And Understanding Of Current Surgical Technologies, Procedures And Techniques.

  • Certification As A Surgical Technologist Educator (Cst-E) Or Willingness To Obtain Within One Year Of Employment.
