- Assisting surgeons in preoperative preparations, including obtaining patient history, conducting physical exams, and ordering necessary tests.
- Collaborating with the surgical team to develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans for patients.
- Participating in surgical procedures, including performing surgical tasks, monitoring patients, and administering medications.
- Providing postoperative care, including monitoring patients' recovery, managing pain, and addressing any complications.
- Educating patients and their families on surgical procedures, expected outcomes, and postoperative care.
- Maintaining accurate and thorough documentation of patient care and surgical procedures.
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care for patients.
- Staying current on advancements and changes in surgical techniques and procedures.
- Assisting in quality improvement initiatives and implementing evidence-based practices.
- Maintaining a high level of professionalism and upholding ethical standards in all interactions with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals.
- Demonstrating empathy, compassion, and sensitivity towards patients and their families.
- Participating in continuing education and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Adhering to all hospital and surgical center policies and procedures.

Advanced Degree In A Relevant Field: The Ideal Candidate For This Role Should Possess A Master's Degree Or Higher In A Relevant Field Such As Nursing, Physician Assistant Studies, Or Another Related Healthcare Field.
Certification And Licensure: The Candidate Should Hold Valid Certification And Licensure As A Surgical Advanced Practice Provider, Such As A Certified Registered Nurse First Assistant (Crnfa) Or A Certified Surgical First Assistant (Csfa).
Extensive Experience In Surgical Settings: Candidates Should Have A Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience Working In A Surgical Setting, With A Focus On Orthopedic Surgery. This Experience Should Include Assisting In A Variety Of Surgical Procedures And Managing Post-Operative Care.
Strong Clinical Skills: The Ideal Candidate Should Possess Excellent Clinical Skills, Including The Ability To Assess And Manage Patients, Perform Procedures, And Provide Patient Education. They Should Also Have A Strong Understanding Of Surgical Techniques And Protocols.
Communication And Teamwork: Surgical Advanced Practice Providers Must Possess Strong Communication Skills And The Ability To Work Effectively In A Team Environment. They Should Be Able To Collaborate With Surgeons, Nurses, And Other Healthcare Professionals To Provide The Best Possible Care For Patients.
