Job Description

  1. Conduct thorough patient evaluations to assess communication and swallowing disorders.
  2. Develop and implement personalized treatment plans for patients with various communication and swallowing disorders.
  3. Utilize evidence-based practices and techniques to improve patient communication skills.
  4. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care for patients.
  5. Document patient progress and maintain accurate records in accordance with organizational policies and procedures.
  6. Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding communication and swallowing strategies.
  7. Stay current with advancements and developments in the field of speech language pathology.
  8. Maintain a professional and compassionate demeanor when interacting with patients, families, and colleagues.
  9. Adhere to ethical and legal standards in all aspects of patient care.
  10. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
  11. Serve as a resource and mentor to less experienced speech language pathology staff.
  12. Participate in meetings and trainings to enhance knowledge and skills.
  13. Follow infection control and safety protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
  14. Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
  15. Promote a positive and caring work environment by actively participating in team-building activities.

Job Qualifications
  • Master's Degree In Speech-Language Pathology: Candidates For This Position Should Possess A Master's Degree In Speech-Language Pathology From An Accredited Program.

  • Certificate Of Clinical Competence In Speech-Language Pathology (Ccc-Slp): The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Current And Valid Ccc-Slp Certification From The American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (Asha).

  • State Licensure: Candidates Must Be Licensed To Practice Speech-Language Pathology In The State Of Florida.

  • Prior Experience: A Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In A Clinical Setting Is Preferred, With Experience In Treating Patients With A Variety Of Communication And Swallowing Disorders.

  • Availability For Weekend Shifts: This Position Requires The Ability To Work Weekends, So Candidates Must Be Available To Work A Weekend Shift Schedule.
