- Conduct regular audits and risk assessments to identify areas of potential non-compliance within the organization.
- Develop and implement effective compliance policies and procedures to ensure adherence to all applicable laws, regulations, and ethical standards.
- Collaborate with various departments to provide guidance and support in addressing compliance issues and implementing corrective actions.
- Stay current on all relevant healthcare laws and regulations and provide updates and training to staff as needed.
- Investigate and respond to any reported compliance violations, including conducting interviews and gathering evidence.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of compliance activities, including reports, investigations, and training materials.
- Communicate regularly with senior leadership to provide updates on compliance initiatives and any identified risks or issues.
- Conduct internal investigations as needed to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
- Develop and maintain relationships with external regulatory agencies and serve as the primary point of contact for compliance-related inquiries.
- Monitor changes in laws and regulations and make recommendations for updates to policies and procedures as necessary.
- Train and educate staff on compliance responsibilities and expectations, including conducting regular compliance training sessions.
- Provide guidance and support to staff in navigating complex compliance issues and ethical dilemmas.
- Develop and implement strategies to promote a culture of compliance within the organization.
- Prepare and submit compliance reports to regulatory agencies as required.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on compliance matters and provide guidance to leadership on best practices and industry standards.
Bachelor's Degree In Business, Healthcare Administration, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Healthcare Compliance, Preferably In A Hospital Or Healthcare System Setting.
In-Depth Knowledge Of Federal And State Healthcare Regulations, Including Hipaa, Stark Law, And Anti-Kickback Statute.
Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills, With The Ability To Interpret Complex Regulations And Identify Potential Compliance Risks.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Collaborate With Various Departments And Individuals To Ensure Compliance Across The Organization.
