- Provide high-quality patient care: The Senior Certified Medical Assistant will be responsible for delivering exceptional care to cancer patients at the Orlando Health Cancer Institute. This includes performing tasks such as taking vitals, assisting with procedures, and providing education and support to patients and their families.
- Utilize advanced medical assisting skills: The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical assisting and be able to perform a wide range of tasks, including administering medications, assisting with diagnostic tests, and maintaining accurate medical records.
- Collaborate with healthcare team: As a member of the healthcare team, the Senior Certified Medical Assistant will work closely with physicians, nurses, and other medical professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients. Current Certification As A Medical Assistant Through A Recognized Accrediting Agency, Such As The American Association Of Medical Assistants (Aama) Or The National Healthcareer Association (Nha).
Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience Working As A Medical Assistant In A Clinical Setting, Preferably In An Oncology Or Cancer Care Environment.
Proficient Knowledge And Understanding Of Medical Terminology, Anatomy, And Physiology, As Well As Experience With Electronic Health Records (Ehr) Systems.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Interact With Patients, Families, And Healthcare Professionals.
Demonstrated Leadership Skills, Including The Ability To Train And Mentor Junior Medical Assistants, As Well As The Ability To Work Collaboratively In A Multidisciplinary Team.
