  1. Provide exceptional patient care: The Senior Certified Medical Assistant will be responsible for ensuring that patients receive high-quality care by performing various medical and administrative tasks.
  2. Support physicians and medical staff: This role involves assisting physicians and other medical staff in delivering patient care, including preparing patients for exams, taking vitals, and updating medical records.
  3. Follow established protocols and procedures: The Senior CMA must adhere to all established protocols and procedures to ensure efficient and accurate patient care.
  4. Maintain a high level of professionalism: As the face of Orlando Health, the Senior CMA must maintain a professional demeanor at all times while interacting with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals.
  5. Provide training and guidance: The Senior CMA will be responsible for training and mentoring other medical assistants, ensuring that they are well-equipped to provide exceptional patient care.
  6. Monitor and manage medical supplies: This role involves monitoring and managing medical supplies, including ordering and restocking, to ensure the smooth operation of daily tasks.
  7. Assist with administrative tasks: The Senior CMA may be required to assist with administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, answering phones, and verifying insurance information.
  8. Adhere to safety and infection control protocols: It is the responsibility of the Senior CMA to adhere to all safety and infection control protocols to protect the health and well-being of patients and staff.
  9. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records: The Senior CMA will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date medical records, including patient information, test results, and treatment plans.
  10. Continuously improve patient care: The Senior CMA will be expected to actively participate in ongoing training and education to continuously improve patient care and stay updated on new medical procedures and technologies.

Job Qualifications
  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Communicate With Patients, Physicians, And Other Healthcare Professionals.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience As A Medical Assistant, Preferably In A Senior Or Supervisory Role.

  • Certification As A Medical Assistant (Cma) Through A Nationally Recognized Organization, Such As The American Association Of Medical Assistants (Aama).

  • Extensive Knowledge Of Medical Terminology, Procedures, And Equipment Commonly Used In A Healthcare Setting.

  • Demonstrated Leadership Abilities And The Ability To Train And Mentor Other Medical Assistants.
