- Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports for accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Oversee the general ledger and month-end close process, ensuring all entries are recorded accurately and on time.
- Conduct regular audits and reviews of financial data to identify any discrepancies or errors.
- Collaborate with other departments to gather financial information and provide support for budgeting and forecasting.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and legal requirements related to financial reporting.
- Develop and implement processes to improve efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting.
- Train and mentor junior accounting staff to ensure their understanding of accounting principles and procedures.
- Assist with the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
- Conduct variance analysis to identify trends and potential areas for cost savings.
- Assist with internal and external audits, including preparing audit schedules and providing necessary documentation.
- Maintain accurate and organized financial records and documents.
- Communicate financial information and analysis to management and stakeholders.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to healthcare accounting.

Bachelor's Degree In Accounting Or Finance: A Senior Accountant At Orlando Health Should Have A Strong Educational Background In Accounting Or Finance To Effectively Understand And Analyze Financial Data.
Cpa (Certified Public Accountant) Certification: Having A Cpa Certification Demonstrates A High Level Of Expertise And Knowledge In Accounting Principles And Practices, Making Candidates More Competitive For The Senior Accountant Position.
Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Accounting Or Finance: Orlando Health Is Seeking Candidates With At Least 5 Years Of Experience In Accounting Or Finance, Preferably In A Healthcare Setting. This Ensures That The Senior Accountant Has A Strong Understanding Of Industry-Specific Regulations And Standards.
