  1. Monitor and patrol designated areas of the facility to ensure the safety and security of patients, staff, and visitors.
  2. Respond to and handle emergency situations, including but not limited to medical emergencies, security breaches, and code calls.
  3. Enforce access control policies and procedures, including checking identification and verifying credentials of individuals entering the facility.
  4. Conduct regular checks and inspections of equipment, doors, and other security systems to ensure they are functioning properly.
  5. Maintain accurate records and reports of all security-related incidents, including any violations or breaches of security protocols.
  6. Communicate effectively with other security team members, as well as hospital staff and law enforcement, to coordinate responses and ensure a seamless flow of information.
  7. Assist with investigations into security incidents and provide detailed reports to management as needed.
  8. Educate staff and visitors on security procedures and protocols, and promote a culture of safety and security throughout the facility.
  9. Stay up-to-date on the latest security trends and technologies to continuously improve and enhance the security program at Orlando Health.
  10. Attend and participate in mandatory trainings and meetings to maintain knowledge and skills necessary for the role.
  11. Maintain a professional and respectful demeanor at all times, and handle all situations with sensitivity and discretion.
  12. Collaborate with other departments and teams within Orlando Health to ensure a cohesive and coordinated approach to security.
  13. Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and regulations, as well as local, state, and federal laws pertaining to security.
  14. Proactively identify potential security risks and take appropriate action to mitigate them.
  15. Perform other duties as assigned by the Security Supervisor or management.

Job Qualifications
  • Minimum Of A High School Diploma Or Equivalent Education.

  • Valid State-Issued Security Officer License.

  • Previous Experience In The Security Field, Preferably In A Healthcare Setting.

  • Knowledge Of Security Procedures And Protocols, Including Emergency Response And Crisis Management.

  • Ability To Communicate Effectively And Professionally With Patients, Visitors, And Staff.
