We are currently seeking a highly motivated and vigilant Security Officer to join our team for the night shifts on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. As a Security Officer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for our patients, visitors, and staff. - Ensure the safety and security of patients, visitors, and staff by monitoring and patrolling the premises during night shifts on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.
- Respond promptly and appropriately to all security-related incidents, including but not limited to medical emergencies, disturbances, theft, and vandalism.
- Maintain a visible and vigilant presence on the premises to deter potential threats and maintain a sense of safety and security for all individuals on site.
- Conduct thorough and accurate investigations of all security incidents, documenting findings and reporting them to the appropriate parties.
- Enforce and uphold all hospital policies and procedures, as well as state and federal laws, pertaining to security and safety.
- Utilize security equipment, such as cameras, alarms, and radios, to monitor and respond to potential security threats.
- Collaborate with other security team members and hospital staff to develop and implement strategies for improving overall safety and security.
- Maintain accurate and thorough records of all security-related activities, including incident reports, shift logs, and other documentation as required.
- Assist with training and educating hospital staff on security protocols and procedures, as needed.
- Continuously assess and evaluate security procedures and protocols, making recommendations for improvements and implementing changes as needed.
- Remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations, utilizing effective de-escalation techniques to diffuse potentially volatile situations.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with patients, visitors, and staff, providing assistance and guidance as needed.
- Serve as a positive representative of Orlando Health, demonstrating a commitment to exceptional patient care and customer service at all times.
- Adhere to all confidentiality and privacy policies, maintaining the highest level of discretion and professionalism in all security-related matters.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Security Supervisor or hospital administration.
Prior Experience In Security Or Law Enforcement: Candidates Should Have A Background In Security Or Law Enforcement, With A Strong Understanding Of Safety Protocols And Emergency Response Procedures.
Excellent Communication And Problem-Solving Skills: Security Officers Must Be Able To Effectively Communicate With Individuals From Diverse Backgrounds And Handle Difficult Situations Calmly And Professionally.
Physical Fitness And Stamina: This Role May Require Standing, Walking, And Patrolling For Extended Periods, As Well As The Ability To Respond Quickly To Emergency Situations.
Attention To Detail And Observation Skills: A Keen Eye For Detail And Strong Observation Skills Are Essential For Identifying Potential Security Risks And Detecting Suspicious Behavior.
Flexibility And Availability For Night And Weekend Shifts: The Job Requires Working Nights, Weekends, And Holidays, So Candidates Should Be Willing And Able To Work A Non-Traditional Schedule.
