Job Description

Orlando Health is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Scribe-Maternal Fetal Medicine to join our team at our state-of-the-art facility. As a member of our Maternal Fetal Medicine team, you will have the opportunity to work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Your role as a Scribe-Maternal Fetal Medicine will be critical in accurately documenting patient encounters and assisting with administrative tasks, allowing our physicians to focus on providing exceptional patient care. We are looking for a detail-oriented individual with strong communication and organizational skills, as well as the ability to thrive in a team-oriented setting.   1. Accurately document patient encounters in real-time, including medical history, physical exams, procedures, and treatment plans.
  2. Assist physicians with administrative tasks such as ordering labs and tests, filling out forms, and managing patient records.
  3. Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient information.
  4. Maintain a high level of attention to detail and ensure all information is documented accurately and in compliance with healthcare regulations.
  5. Utilize electronic medical records and other technology to efficiently document patient encounters.
  6. Collaborate with physicians to anticipate their needs and provide support during patient appointments.
  7. Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines at all times.
  8. Regularly review and update patient information to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  9. Assist with scheduling appointments and managing patient flow to ensure efficient and timely care.
  10. Act as a liaison between physicians and patients, communicating important information and instructions as directed by the physician.
  11. Attend team meetings and training sessions to stay up-to-date on best practices and procedures.
  12. Demonstrate a strong understanding of Maternal Fetal Medicine and the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new information and techniques.
  13. Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment, promoting communication and teamwork among all healthcare professionals.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Nursing Or A Related Field, With A Focus On Obstetrics And/Or Maternal Fetal Medicine.

  • Previous Experience As A Scribe In A Healthcare Setting, Preferably In A Maternal Fetal Medicine Department.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Medical Terminology And Ability To Accurately Transcribe And Document Patient Encounters.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Closely With Physicians And Other Healthcare Team Members.

  • Demonstrated Organizational Skills And Ability To Manage Multiple Tasks Efficiently In A Fast-Paced Environment.
