  1. Coordinate and manage patient appointments in an efficient and accurate manner.
  2. Communicate effectively with patients, healthcare providers, and other staff members to ensure smooth scheduling processes.
  3. Maintain a high level of organization and attention to detail to ensure accuracy in scheduling.
  4. Problem-solve any scheduling conflicts or issues that may arise.
  5. Thrive in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  6. Collaborate with other team members to ensure the best possible healthcare experience for patients.
  7. Utilize various scheduling tools and systems to schedule and manage appointments.
  8. Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA regulations.
  9. Continuously seek ways to improve and streamline scheduling processes for increased efficiency.
  10. Provide excellent customer service to patients and address any inquiries or concerns regarding appointments.
  11. Update and maintain patient records and appointment information accurately.
  12. Adhere to all organizational policies and procedures related to scheduling and patient access.
  13. Take on additional responsibilities and duties as needed to support the Patient Access Center team.

Job Qualifications
  • High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Scheduling Coordinator At Orlando Health Must Have A Minimum Of A High School Diploma Or Ged. This Ensures That The Candidate Has A Basic Education And Can Comprehend And Follow Instructions.

  • Previous Experience In A Healthcare Setting: Candidates For This Position Should Have Prior Experience Working In A Healthcare Setting, Preferably In A Scheduling Or Patient Access Role. This Experience Will Help Them Understand The Complexities Of The Job And Ensure That They Can Handle The Demands Of The Role.

  • Strong Communication Skills: As A Scheduling Coordinator, The Candidate Will Be Responsible For Communicating With Patients, Healthcare Providers, And Other Staff Members. They Must Have Excellent Verbal And Written Communication Skills To Effectively Convey Information And Resolve Any Issues That May Arise.

  • Knowledge Of Scheduling Software: Orlando Health Uses Various Scheduling Software And Programs To Manage Patient Appointments. A Qualified Candidate Must Have Experience Working With These Types Of Systems And Be Able To Learn And Adapt To New Technology Quickly.

  • Attention To Detail: The Scheduling Coordinator Is Responsible For Managing A High Volume Of Patient Appointments, Insurance Information, And Other Important Details. It Is Crucial That The Candidate Has Strong Attention To Detail To Ensure Accuracy And Avoid Any Scheduling Errors Or Discrepancies.
